About Me
Shannon Maloney, originally from Augusta, Georgia, began dancing at age two and discovered her passion for ballet at age six. She trained with the Augusta Ballet School (now Colton Ballet Company), performing in George Balanchine’s The Nutcracker and joining the company as an apprentice at age twelve.
After moving to Charleston, she trained with renowned artists including former New York City Ballet principals Jennifer Ringer and James Fayette, and former American Ballet Theatre dancer Bo Busby. Shannon majored in Dance at the College of Charleston and was hired at eighteen by Palmetto City Ballet. She is currently in her third season with Unbound Ballet Project and has performed on HBO’s The Righteous Gemstones, with Augusta Ballet, and in commercial work. She is excited to expand into ballroom dance with Caliente and share her passion through teaching.
